Quilting all done
Squaring up done
Overlocking the edges done
I use a stitch in the ditch foot and move the needle position over the left as far as it will go, set the machine to a zig zag stitch and secure the edges of the whole quilt.
I then half the stitch length and repeat a second time. I have found this makes a big difference, it stabilizes the edges of the quilt and there isn’t any messing about trying to control the 3 layers when applying the binding, the bound edges seem to behave themselves a lot better too, especially if the quilt is to be displayed.
Next step, deciding on the binding!
Thank you for stopping by, it is much appreciated…
