What You Can Do With Hand Dyed

Image

The feedback I have received from visitors to my stand has been really complimentary and very positive which is great and much appreciated.

Lots and lots of people have told me they love the fabrics……BUT……what I also hear A LOT is…

‘They are absolutely gorgeous but what would I do with it’

‘I love hand dyed fabric but I couldn’t cut into it’

So, with these words ringing in my ears and bouncing around in my head I plan to demonstrate what YOU COULD do with it and hopefully make YOU want to CUT into it!

How am I going to do this I hear you ask…..

Well to start with, I have created ‘The List’.

It contains as many techniques and projects that I could think of (more ideas added all the time)!

Over the next few weeks I will create from ‘The List’ using some of the fabrics that have been displayed on my stand.  Photos will be posted here on my website and on my facebook page.

Here’s a sneaky peak until then.

Hope you will visit again soon.

Thank you for stopping by, it is much appreciated…

Join me in January?

I know it is quite shocking to be even thinking about next year just yet but I thought I would share the details of the next event I will be attending.

I will have lots of goodies to tempt you with so why not use your Christmas money to treat yourself in January!

This used to be held every year in Nantwich Civic Hall but has now moved to Sandbach. More details of the event can be seen here.

East Lancs Area Day – Oldham

Image

The weather played nicely on Saturday and provided a nice journey around the M60 to Chadderton.  There was some fabulous sky to admire early in the morning, especially from the top of Barton Bridge.  It would be fab if you could take pictures from up there and stay alive!

It took me longer to set up than I wanted, which is always the case so I shouldn’t be surprised.  Below is a picture from part of my stand of the Colour Collection fabrics and you can just see the Rust and Shibori fabric on display in the background (more about all of these in future posts).

There were lots of lovely ladies who attended the day, first for the talk in the morning by Pat Archibald and then to participate in the workshop in the afternoon.

If you are interested in workshops with Pat Archibald then do contact Philomena at Patchwork Parade as I know there are more scheduled for next year.

Thank you to everyone who bought from me on Saturday and to those of you who are interested in the workshops that I am currently in planning stages of.  I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Well it’s nose back to the grindstone of thinking and planning and lots of doing!

Thank you for stopping by, it is much appreciated…

Set Up Day at Event City

Image

I have not long returned home from a long day setting up my stand for the start of the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts Show which starts tomorrow at Event City and have just finished doing some extra jobs!

You would think I have a stand the size of a house the amount of time it has taken to display the fabrics.

It started out looking like this….

A huge thank you to Our Linda (Little Sister), I couldn’t do it without her.

Hope you enjoy the show if you are attending.

Preparing for Oldham

Well it seems to have arrived very quickly but the next event I will be attending is this Saturday.  Click here for full details of the day.

I thought I had all the time in the world to prepare when Phil Langford of Patchwork Parade asked me in January if I would like to have a stall at the event she has organised.

I have been hard at work making the most wonderfully textured fabrics I promise but the ideas just keep coming so the To Do List keeps getting bigger!

Here are a few pictures of the gorgeous goodies I will have to tempt you on the day!
