I do love a good inspirational quote!

Image

Playing with the display of my inspirational quotes.

Together they sum me up perfectly which is why I started making them…

I try to stop hoarding¬†ūüöꬆand start making¬†‚úāÔłŹ

but I have to confess I am a total fabric addict¬†ūüíüūüí∑

which leads to the life’s short buy fabric approach¬†‚Ź≥ūüďÖ

With all that fabric I have to surround myself with the motivation to use it..

Job For Life I think!

How quickly a year passes!

I started organising this event early last year and it is happening this Sunday!

Click here to visit the event’s website for details of the Traders, Group Exhibitors and Exhibition

I shall also have a stand there with my handdyed and rust printed fabric plus my handmade cards.  I might even have one or two of my new handdyed scarves.

Hope to see you there!

I wanted to have some stitched Shibori pieces displayed on my stand at the Knitting & Stitching Show this month and this is a sneak preview of what I am currently working on.

My hands are bloody killing me with all this hand stitching but hopefully it will be worth it. No wonder I’ve never done it before!

The List Revisited

Image

Do¬†you remember the ‘What You Can Do With Hand Dyed’ List?
2015 Oct 12 What You Could Do With Hand Dyed List t r a c y f o x
I have already used some of the technique’s¬†and created a few of the¬†projects suggested and¬†you may have seen these¬†displayed¬†on my stand.

You can click on the links above to see more about the cushion and books posted previously.  I will be sharing photos of the last 2 projects in the next posts.

The next project¬†I want to¬†get going with¬†is a quilt made¬†with a¬†‘Starter’ Colour Bundle.

I have played about with lots of different layouts and have finally made up my mind!

The one I have decided on is sitting on my design wall at the moment and I am about to start piecing it together.  I have given lots of consideration to the quilting too and think I have even decided on that (probably).

I will be posting it’s progress over the next week so I hope you will join me again soon.

Thank you¬†for stopping by, it is much appreciated…

‘Starter’ Colour Bundles

Image

You know when something comes to you and you wonder how you didn’t see¬†it in the first place?

Well I have¬†‘decided’ to change the name ‘Taster’ Colour Bundle to…

‘Starter’ Colour Bundle.
2015 Oct 09 Starter Colour Bundles label t r a c y f o x

And this is how it happened…

Last Saturday I had a stand at The Quilters’ Guild Regional Day in Frodsham and had been explaining to visitors about the different fabric collections and in particular, the colour bundles available¬†in the Colour Collection.

I explained that I created these bundles in response to visitors who

  • couldn’t decide which colour to choose
  • hadn’t used hand dyed fabric before but wanted to give it a go
  • wanted a range of colours & textures¬†in smaller pieces
  • didn’t want to cut in to it as it was too nice
  • prefer pre-cut packs
  • are looking for a special gift for¬†someone

And whilst doing this I was referring¬†to¬†the bundles¬†as ‘a place to start’.

The leap was made and so was the decision it seems, so I had better get to work making the new labels, changing the labels on the bundles, updating the website etc etc

Don’t you just love changing your mind!!

Thank you¬†for stopping by, it is much appreciated…
